- Virtual to Field (V2F™) robotic layout solutions
- Laser scanning and photography reality capture
- Drone construction imaging

BIM/VDC Services
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is intelligent, digital 3D models that give architecture, engineering and construction professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, develop documents, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure.
Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) is the management of BIM models to apply constructability, budgetary input and functionality into the design and construction process. Establishing an intuitive coordination management plan for consultants and accurately scheduling the design process – while taking design constraints and bid package strategy into consideration – is an industry-wide obstacle. SpawGlass’ VDC solution begins by coordinating all aspects of design and prioritizes design and constraints, allowing the release of early bid packages to optimize design time.
V2F Robotic Layout Solutions

V2F bridges the gap between BIM/VDC and onsite layout services. It provides the technician with the ability to lay out from the coordinated BIM models as well as the ability to convey existing conditions back to the model. This SpawGlass exclusive layout system incorporates robotic total stations, tablet PCs, Global Positioning System (GPS) and specialized software to provide the layout technician with all project documentation at their fingertips.
State-of-the-art layout services that are up-to-date and collaborative with the model are challenging to establish for any contractor. SpawGlass offers a seamless, affordable solution through V2F layout services, in which layout needs ideally are offered to trade contractors during buyout. This removes the need for trade contractors to allocate resources for short-term layout needs and ensures all layout is performed in accordance with the latest documents.
Laser Scanning and Photography Reality Capture
Laser scanning is the process of capturing digital information to measure the distance between the scanner and the object. The scanner captures an existing condition for the intent of incorporating it into a 3D BIM model for design verification. Without progressive as-built documentation, facilities maintenance, warranty services and future expansion planning are exponentially more expensive, time consuming and less comprehensive.
Drone Construction Imaging
Drones are unmanned aircraft that can be controlled remotely or autonomously and have many functional benefits such as progress tracking, 3D topography mapping, video and photo capture, and thermal leak inspections.
